NBA Finals: Celtics win to close out NBA Finals

The Celtics have won the NBA Finals and will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6 on Sunday.

Here are the highlights of the Celtics-Cavaliers series.


Celtics beat Cavs in OT for 3rd straight title: Boston won Game 3 in overtime, 108-105.

Kevin Garnett scored 28 points to lead the Celtics to a 113-107 win in Game 3.

Isaiah Thomas added 17 points and eight assists.

James Young had 17 points for the Celtics.

Isaiah, who had 19 points in Game 2, added 10 rebounds.

Thomas was the Celtics MVP in Game 1 and averaged 21.6 points in the series.


Celtics hit back in Game 4: After missing their best shot, the Celtics hit the defensive end of the court again.

They used a 20-5 run to start the fourth quarter to tie the game at 109, but the Cavs scored the next 11 points.

That allowed Boston to go on a 13-3 run to take a 98-95 lead with 12:25 left in the game.

The Celtics never trailed again.


Celtics score first in Game 5: Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics with 23 points, with Kevin Garnets and Jae Crowder each adding 18.

Celtics forward Avery Bradley had 16 points and 10 rebounds, while C.J. Watson added 15 points and 12 rebounds.

The Cavs scored 19 points over the final 10 minutes.

Cleveland is coming off back-to-back losses, and Boston will be looking to continue its success in the postseason.


Celtics finish the series on a high note: The Celtics will play Game 6 in Cleveland on Sunday, March 9, when they will take on the Cavaliers in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
